We're temporarily pausing our Trade-In program

At Out&Back Outdoor, we’ve always believed in giving gear a second adventure — and in building a more sustainable future for the outdoors we love. Our Trade-In program has been a big part of that mission, buying thousands of pieces of gear to keep them out of landfills and in the hands of fellow adventurers like you.After thoughtful consideration, we’ve made the difficult decision to temporarily pause our Trade-In program, effective June 6, 2025. 

This choice wasn't made lightly — it reflects our ongoing effort to balance sustainability for the planet, our customers, and our business.We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished together. The community of sellers who made this program thrive has been truly special, and we’re deeply grateful for every one of you who helped bring new life to pre-loved gear.

For now, our focus will shift to finding new homes for the incredible pre-owned gear we’ve already received — there’s still a lot of adventure left in these items, and we’re excited to share them with the community.While we don’t yet have a timeline for what’s next, our commitment to sustainability and accessibility remains unchanged. We’ll continue offering amazing new and used gear through our website and championing the idea that great gear deserves a second chance.

Thank you for being part of this journey — and for helping us build something meaningful which we will continue to build during this pause. We couldn’t have done it without you. Stay tuned for updates on the future of this program.

What is the timeline on this pause?

We don't have a timeline on when this pause will end, but will make sure to update our website and our newsletter subscribers with new information and updates as we look to improve this program!
